Okay right now my puppy is currently feeding off dog can food and shes about 11 weeks. We are switiching the can food to dry food. Do we just switich or mix in the dry food with the can food and then later on switich totally to dry food?

Switch it gradually, over the course of a week or so. Start with "a little dry but mostly canned" and shift to "mostly dry but a little canned" until finally ending up with all dry after about 7 days.

Abrupt changes in diet can cause stomach upset.

The easiest thing for her tummy and your floors is switch over the course of a week. Add a little dry then a little more the next day etc until you have fed her all dry. Dry food digests better if it is moistened so I feed dry with warm/hot water added then let the food sit for 10 mins. I also feed canned several times a month mixed in esp on days when heartworm is added. I also use veggies and some fruits plus good leftovers, plus feed raw medallions most mornings to my MinPins.

you should start buying both types. while you feed your dog, mix the slightest bit of dry food into it. then next time add a little more, and so on. do this untill your puppy is totally switched to dry food. if you switch automaticliy to dry food, your dog will have a stomach ach, sometimes it might even throw up.

Mix the canned food in with the dry and slowly decrease the canned...ps dry food is ten times better for their teeth

please do not just completely switch the food. it will be pretty stressful for ur puppy (i have done that but it was bc the vet fed her some other food rather than what we had and she wouldnt eat what we had but thats different) put the normal amount of can food you usually give her and add a few pieves of her dry food. and once she gets use to it gradually put more dry food and less can food

Switch it gradually and spread it out over a week to 10 days to let him/her adjust to the new food.
