Yahoo News:-Sunday-August,12,07-:
• Adults in the United States have one of the highest obesity rates in the world. Nearly a third of U.S. adults 20 years and older are obese, while about two-thirds are overweight, according to the National Center for Health Statistics.

"The U.S. has the resources that allow people to get fat and lazy," said Paul Terry, an assistant professor of epidemiology at Emory University in Atlanta. "We have the luxury of choosing a bad lifestyle as opposed to having one imposed on us by hard times."

Answer-2:-" I do not approve of obesity at all"

It is not my opinion .It is a Professor's(of Epidomology) opinion. In the same news-please read-another Professor of Washington University has said from 11 th place "in Life expectancy at Birth" U.S.A 's position has gone down to 42 nd position-.Even in a miniature country with very poor living standards "the Life Expectancy at Birth" is 86 years whereas in the most advanced USA with ultra -modern health care systems- it is only around 77 years--fallen down too much-and "Infantile Mortality within the first year of life"- USA is at the TOP(it is given in the same Yahoo News)-nothing to feel very Proud about it..There is a major flaw in our(USA) food habits-all ready made Junk food-Hormones rich Milk-"Lazy life style etc- instead of "Ignoring " or "Indifferent" we should seriously Ponder over this Serious Issue for the benifit of our CHILDREN.

I think it is definitley a growing problem. This is mostly because people really don't consider it a threat. People pay attention to diseases that strike at a moments notice, like ebola. However nobody really realizes that obesity is a health problem that is silent but deadly. It's a developing disease in the body that starts out in young age and ends up giving you heart disease at 40. So people should really start paying more attention to it.

I do not approve of obesity at all. People must become more educated on the risks to your health of carrying around far too many pounds. There should be more advertising in the media about this serious national problem, and less advertising to promote alcohol and tobacco.
