First, attack the source. A Pom should be bathed monthly. Is she finding things to roll in? Does she have an ear infection?
Second, cover up the smell. The best way is to air out your room but since you cannot do that and the anti-odor stuff requires direct contact with the source (ie, spray the bed (mattress, sheets, blankets, etc daily) so is too labor intensive, all you can do is to spray air fresheners, air solids, burn incense, etc.

What are you feeding your dog?? A dog that is fed good quality food, is in good health, gets lots of fresh water.. He just plain doesn't smell like a dog...
I think you should strip down the bed, wash all the sheets and blankets.. Pillow too.. They hold ALOT of dander and dust. Vacuum the entire room.. Go get some of that Fabreze for allergens.. Go get some good quality dog food.. Start the dog on the new food right away.. As long as your dog has no health issues, no reason to smell. Your room should smell Springtime fresh! My dogs sleep with me, and my room doesn't smell like dog..

Try an enzyme based odor remover from the pet store. I use Simple Solution for stains and smells, but I've heard that Nature's Miracle is good too. Maybe bathing the dog before it sleeps in your room in the future?

Febreeze or Blue Mountain Candles makes a great candle for this. It is called the Pet Odor Eliminator. We have them for when it is raining and the dogs end up with that wet dog smell. I burn the candle for like 10 mintues and it makes the smell go away.

you probably need to wash the bedding he sleeps on regularly. If you can't shampoo the carpet, use something like Febreeze or the Arm & Hammer Carpet Deoderizer (powder - vaccum out). We have 3 dogs - similar problems. Also - wash the dog regularly. Antibacterial dog shampoo helps the dog from getting smelly faster.

You asked the right question! No matter how you clean your dog it will still haave a dog odor. You can buy those air freshner you can plug into the wall and it will dispense air into you room and will get rid of the odor. Or you can buy an air filter which works well!

To prevent the smell from coming back, groom him frequently- as you should with a Pom anyway. Vacuum frequently to get excess fur out. Consider getting a gate and leaving the door open. Febreeze works wonders too.

FIRST: bathe the dog - now and every two weeks at least.
SECOND: buy some of that Febreeze air cleaner stuff - use it for three days in a row.

wash all bed clothes and closet clothes, thoroughly clean all flooring, a/c , etc. Use vinegar in small bowls--put it on a dresser or something, dilute "odor ban" and use a spray neutralizer.
