Hun, I can't help you with the medical issue, but I swear it will only get worse if it is what you think it is as you get older. When you go to the doctors, tell them, you don't like needles, and that you would like a baby needle. They hurt much much much less, and are tiny compaired to what other things they use. :) That will help you out a bit I hope! Good luck girl!

Your symptoms are so general (dizziness, tingling, fatigue) that only a physician can evaluate and diagnose you.

There are several types of anemia; read about them at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/anemia/DS00321.

Regarding fear of needles:

1. It is important you tell the phlebotomist that you are fearful. He/she is used to frightened people.
2. Ask the phlebotomist to talk to you during the procedure, or talk to him/her. It will help you relax. "I had a terrible day at school--this teacher..." "What education do you have to get to do a job like this?" "I'm thinking of having my nose pierced". Whatever.
3. Breathe deeply and slowly. When the phlebotomist says, "you'll feel a stick", breathe out very slowly. Play your favorite song in your head to distract yourself.

Please talk to your parents. If you do have a medical problem that makes you tired and tingly, you won't be able to compete very well, and you may end up truly sick.

You're going to have to be brave and get checked. Yes they will draw blood.
