Ok, I am wanting to take my parents to Sydney, Australia for 2 weeks. But I am having troubles finding beachfront 4 to 5 star hotels or motels. Can some one help me? Oh and cost doesn't matter. Also can you try to be somewhat near the attraction, but not too close. Thanks that would mean alot to me.

Manly is nice but if you are going to other parts of Aussie - for instance Cairns (north Qld) http://www.welcometocairns.com.au there are some spectacular beaches here with unlimited beachfront accommodation.
For instance - Trinity Beach and Palm Cove.
Go to the following sites for more info::::

Hi, I am sure your parents will love Sydney, I recommend using this website to find some suitable accommodation for your parents that is beachfront.
Try www.manlyweb.com.au This website will give you a great overview of the area and Manly's location to everything.
This website has all the info you would need, 3 of the best hotels would be the 'Manly Pacific Novotel', the Sebel, and the 'Grand Esplanade Apartments'. the Grande is harbour front. But if it was me, I would choose the Manly Pacific as its appeals to me the most.
Manly is a 30 minute ferry trip into the city where you can see all the sights and make sure you go for a drive up to Palm beach and even spend a few nights at the Newport Mirage.
I have lived in Manly all my life and I always make sure my international visitors come to the northern beaches and Manly.
Enjoy:)

Was wondering why you would go to Sydney for the beach, since the Gold Coast - Surfers Paradise areas would be ebst.

But if you want Sydney and at the same time be on a beachfront, then you would have 2 great choices - - Bondi or Manly.

Bondi is more active, more young. You would probably like Bondi.

But if you are choosing for your folks, Manly would be more interesting, and more "decent".

Lots of hotels and apartments line the stretch of Manly. I suggest you check the website for better choices.

I agree with Nathan. The hotels in Manly are very nice, and the location is convenient. Nearby attractions include the beach, shopping, the aquarium, and the Sydney Ferry system, which will get you to Circular Quay. All of the city just opens up from there. Enjoy!

All these Manly silvertails recommending you go miles away! The Swiss Grand Resort and Spa at Bondi Beach is good. There is a list of most of the big Sydney hotels here
http://www.australianexplorer.com/sydney_hotels.htm
While the beach is fun, it is easy to get to and from a more central hotel you would have a choice of beaches. One of the big hotels around Circular Quay would give you easy access to the beaches plus easy access to the rest of Sydney as well.

Sydney is a fantastic city and you all will love it. Darling harbour is nice...not Beach but near the harbour with lovely views. Or maybe you could stay at Manley beach?
Be sure to do the bridge climb! Twilight is best as you will see day and night.
Visit the Blue mountains for the day as it is breathtaking, Do a harbour luncheon cruse as you will get ideal photo opportunities for taking fab pics of the bridge and opera House, go up centre-point tower in which you can post your post cards from the highest post box in the southern hemisphere!
I would do 4 nights in Sydney and the fly to Ayers rock for 2 nights (stay at sails in Dessert hotel or if money no object at all then longitude tented accomodation) and then do 4 nights in Cairns (stay in Palm Cove or Cape tribulation) The Sebel Reef Hotel is lovely and on the beach front! and 4 nights on Hamilton island.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but, why have you chosen Sydney for a 2 week holiday?
I'd stay there for a couple of days and move on to other areas of Australia of the rest of the time.
We have a massive and wonderful country and it seems a shame to limit yourself to the largest city.
Whatever you choose to do have a great holiday.
