I fell over a ladder yesterday, where my face hit an edge of the ladder. It left a gash about 1/4 inch on the top of my nose, where you can lift up the skin. I dressed the wound and wearing a band-aid.

Should I pull off the skin to heal (will expose the open wound under band-aid), or keep the skin on top of the injury to heal?
Thanks!

i think you should leave it on for a couple of days then take it off so it will become completely dead and it wont hurt as much and the gash will heal.but put neosporan on it so it wont scar and it will kill the bacteria and heal faster.oh and keep a band-aid on it to.

Kepp it covered to prevent infection and also change the band aid every 6 hours or so .

don't remove the loose skin because it may cause opening of your wound
try to keep the healing natural and not controlled

TRUE !! Most likely a new lair "R"r`r`R`r ` of skin will grow over it as it naturally heals !! But it might be best to leave any bandage off for awhile to let the elements & time heal it best !! <>~!!! "R"r`r,r'r.r`,'-
