US NAVY Seals are the most advanced and experienced spec op unit in today's military

Well, to become a Navy SEAL, a sailor has to go through a 6 month indoctrination training program, because sailors aren't created for combat, so they have to catch up to everybody else. Rangers are actually a trailer platoon for Delta. But in reality all of these units are extremely great and unique within their own right and they are all trained similarly. They all have to go to HALO (except for Rangers), Combat Dive School, SERE Training, M.O.U.T. etc. etc. Anyone who says any different, doesn't know better because they are usually P.O.G.s (military personnel that are non-combative and they usually create false idealisms and beliefs on how things are.) I'm not saying that P.O.G.s are bad or worthless, because they are necessary, It's just that they don't know any better about Infantry and Elite Infantry training. For example, that Sailor who answered this question earlier....He's ready to write off the SEALs as being the best without having any true first-hand experience himself.

Well, being in the Marine Corps, you'd think I'd be a little biased, BUT... In all honesty, if you look at the training and time required to become a Navy SEAL, they are probably the best the United States has to offer, as well as the most well-rounded.

Army rangers isn't "Spec Ops" but they are great light infantry and do support Spec Ops very well.

Delta Force isn't called Delta anymore its Combat Applications Group (aka CAG)

Force Recon is no longer Force its Marine Special Operations Company (aka Mar Soc)

Everyone thinks Seals are sooooo great but really they just have a Mythical sized reputation, they are good but I have worked with operators that are just as good.

In the end we all do our part to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from all Enemy's foreign and domestic.

Delta Force is a more mature force comprised of people from each branch and have balance more. They are probably the best since they have all.

Special Forces and is probably next since you cannont generally start as one and have to grow into it. They are a little more patient.

The SEALS, and Force Recon would be next, they are professional, but tend to be more reckless and younger then the SF. Makes a difference when you can enlist as one, or have to work toward it first.

The Rangers would be last since they are really just a conventional Airborne unit that does harder missions.

You forgot USAF Pararescue and CCT's. I would have to go with Pararescue. I know a former Navy SEAL that tried to crosstrain into being a PJ and failed. I'd say that speaks pretty highly of their qualifications. However every SpecOps/ SpecFor, unit has a different mission so you really can't compare any of them.

US Army Special Forces. They're called "special" for a reason.

Thats like asking which branch is the best, they all do different things so you cant really compare; but Id go w/ the Recon.

Isn't that kind of like asking, what is better, a bazooka or an M-16?

They both have different purposes and are better for different situations.
