If you intended the double negative, or if you did not, the answer is the same: it is possible to lead a moral life whether or not you believe in God. Ethics and morals (the distinction is an academic one) are things that have to do with your own self-respect, your view of yourself as an honorable person, and your ability to get along with others. Those are important no matter who you are.

Double negative? Yes, I believe God believers can lead a moral life just as atheists can.

What part of this do you mean? That it's possible to live a moral life without believing in God?
Or, that it's impossible to lead a moral life without believing in God.
Now I'm mixed-up.
Morality is not God. People do live moral lives without believing in Him.
I think believing in Him helps me to live a moral life because He points out to me the areas where I think I'm doing great, when in fact a major tune-up is in order.

Clever use of phrasing.
The most moral people I know are the ones that do 'right' not because they fear god's wrath, but because they feel it's the proper thing to do. I don't believe in an afterlife at all, but I'm willing to put money on the table that I've done more good in this world than most 'believers'. And all that without pushing my beliefs on others too...

Yes. (excusing the double negative)
Morality is put there by God.
I've seen/read/heard many debates about morality without God - the arguments for morality without God just don't hold up. IMO

All sturdy and decent issues come from God. Love, Temperance, Tolerance, endurance, etc are all presents of God. for this reason how 'sturdy' a guy is, is a mirrored image of ways plenty this guy helps God to flow him to think of and act in specific procedures. with the purpose to respond to your question, no you could no longer lead a ethical existence without God for the reason that God is the resource of all this is sturdy, and decent and ethical. this is why some can call themselves Christian and yet nevertheless lead immoral lives. Of course it is. Religion was invented for the masses to believe that there was something else that could possibly happen to them if they were immoral. Without the idea of God, there would be anarchy. Its kinda like driving a car, if you see a cop or you witness someone else being pulled over, you slow down. Could you imagine the streets without police patrolling? Do you think that it would be safe to drive? Well, thats the same concept of religion. If you can find it in yourself to be moral and ethical without needing to use god as a crutch, then you dont need the idea of some higher police to live your life essentially good. There are people who can go through their whole existence and not need to feel that they are going to pay for their sins to be good people. They just are good people.

Yes, it is possible, very possible but I think eventually leading a moral life brings one closer to and more aware of God and more times than naught a moral person will be sought out by God. Look at the examples in the bible and Qur'an of moral people becoming prophets and leaders of God's people at the request of God.

Strictly speaking, no. Religion (the standard monotheistic kind like Christianity and Islam) is amoral - i.e. they have concepts like 'virtue' and 'sin', which mean following or failing to follow the orders of the deity in question, and the motivation is self-interest, e.g. seeking heaven and avoiding hell. None of this has anything to do with morality, which is the judgment of good and bad behaviour according to conscience.

What saves the religious folks from being completely amoral is that, of course, few if any of them follow their religion literally and to the letter. To a greater or lesser extent they still allow their consciences to dictate which parts of dogma, scripture and religious authority they will adhere to, and which they will ignore.

OF COURSE it's possible! Why? Because every human being is endowed with a conscience, and, human beings can develop their conscience according to universal values which don't necessarely derive from religion.

What you see through the eyes of your Faith my friend, I see through the eyes of my Conscience; and as long as we both pursue goodness we walk on the very same path. So, although I don't believe in God, I do lead a moral life and act like a good human being.
