2 different takes on the answer:
1. There is no creator, we were just 1 of 100billion to the Nth power of planets that had all the right attributes to make the primordial ooze of life. we won the galactic crap shoot.
2. Do you think the "creator" worries about what each and everyone thinks.. I feel a creator, made the place, and then let it run on its own.. basicly chaos theory in full bloom.

It is the matter of "Free Will." He gave Adam the option of having the world in all of it perfection and never ending or the choice of physical and spiritual death..Through the help of the Tempter, Eve choose to eat the fruit of sin and death and she gave to Adam and He also willing committed high treason against God, giving the Devil the title deed to this world until God would send Jesus Christ, His Son, to redeem it back to God and He has done so but believing is still the individuals right as free moral agents to choose to do so, for the unbelieving according to the word of God, shall not enter into the place where the believing go....Heaven.

The typical answer is 'free will', which is a concept absolutely and completely disproved by causal determinism. The factors that cause our thoughts and beliefs are so many and so complex that to us it seems as though we must have free will. But to an omnipotent being, these factors would be obvious. If he existed, God would know exactly which neurons would fire action potentials in your brain, at exactly which times, and would know exactly what you were going to believe.
A god who isn't able to predict this would not be omnipotent, and a god who is able to predict this would be malevolent if he punished people for beliefs which effectively he gave them.

"Free Will" is the stupidest answer and the most common answer that Christians come up with. If there was a "loving" god, he would make his existence undeniable instead of playing "hide and seek". What, is everlasting life some sort of game to the christian god? Nonsense. god loves us so much that he sneaks around and condemns 2/3 of the human population to hell? Garbage. god does not exist, god is an idiotic concept and it is time to purge this drivel from our society.

I think it all boils down to the "predestination vs. free-will" debate.
And my take on it is that if we were created with free will it would violate that free will to make all created beings believe.

"Free will" to choose spiritual good (such as believing in Jesus Christ for salvation) is an Arminian fiction. God has chosen a particular group of people to whom he regenerates and grants the graces of repentance and faith. He is not under any obligation to save any one of us, but out of his mercy, he has saved those that he wanted to save.

Yeah, you know what I notice. That the non-believers accuse us of "forcing" them to believe what we say. (As if we could actually force them.) But on the other hand, they complain, "well if God wanted us to believe in Him, why didn't He make us all believe?". Isn't "making" them believe, the same thing as forcing? Aren't they contradicting themselves? Just my two cents. God bless.

It's that free will, thing. Frankly, I don't think believe or burn is a choice or "free will" It's an ultimatum.
