It's apparently the morning after a heavy storm or a tornado...and I walk past a pond area, where fish are flopping about on the ground. There are several hundred. But I actually pick each one up one by one, and throw them back into the water because the thought of seeing them toss and flop - losing their breath really disturbs me.

What could this mean about me? Or what could this dream generally mean?

Lately, I've felt a calling to step up to the plate -- and take on a change in career, where I can help people ... it's been a terrible itch in my conscience ... could this have something to do?

in my opinion and i cud very well be wrong is that you are someone who wants to help and cant stand by watching suffering. if i were you i would try volunteering and if you like that go all the way and change your career to something that helps ppl/animals. good luck i think you know what you want you just gotta dig a little.

Good Day!
Your dreams,... are just that. They are your dreams. Do this activity and maybe you will see the answer as clear as you saw the dream.
What is the first thing you think about when you think of this dream? Is it the pond? Is it the Fish? Is it the process of putting the fish back into the pond?
Once you have figured this question out the next question is this,... what does that thing mean to you? What do you think of when you think of,... say Fish? Does the fish remind you of anyone? Does the fish make you think of anything?
The answer is there. However, lets do some text book revisits and see if they help you.
One theory of dream decoding is that you are everything in your dream. You are,... obviously you, you are the pond, you are the fish and you are the action of throwing yourself back into yourself. THIS theory points out that your inner self is needing you badly. You have been throwing too much of yourself away and you need to come back and take care of you.
Another theory is that you are ONE THING in the dream. The break down is this.
If you are you,... that a no brainer, see above.
If you feel closer to the pond,... then you are the catch all for everyone else's problems and joys in life.
If you are the fish,... then you are the person GIVING the problems and joys.
Or we could just go Freudian and say,... Your mother is clearly you, you are the fish and your mother threw you into the pond so that you would feel the comfort of the liquid womb around you again.
Yeah, I'm not kidding. :) Feel free to contact me in person if you have questions.
DREAM ON!

Your dream is from God. The heavy storm or tornado represents tragedy which will come and displaced people spiritually. The fish you saw flopping on the ground represents people who were not ready for the tragedy and are will struggle spiritually to the point of death. The pond represents your ministry and God will use you to pick up people lives again and help restore them by putting them back into the pond.

Hi there,
Ever since I was little, I always heard that dreaming about fish is a good omen, especially if they are live. So fish in a dream pretty much mean good fortune and good luck in the future. Also, to dream of water, whether it is the sea or a pond, it has to do with your mind looking for peace and tranquility. As for your current states of thought and taking on challenges, they are for sure related to the dream that you had cause you did help the fish survive after all!
Hope this helps.

Was the morning sunny after the storm as if things are clearing for you? Water, the pond, represents your spirit. The fish out out water represent things you have shunned from your spirit. However, you know you need to put the fish back in the pond to fill your spirit and so that they (you) may truly live. It sounds like you are ready to move on the the next stage for you...it will be spiritually fulfilling.
Good luck!!!

According to Dreamcrowd:

To see water in your dream, symbolizes the meeting between your two states of mind. The sand is symbolic of the rational and mental processes while the water signifies the irrational, unsteady, and emotional aspects of yourself. It is a place of transition between the physical/material and the spiritual. To dream that you are on the beach and looking out toward the ocean, indicates unknown and major changes that are occurring in your life. Consider the state of the ocean, whether it is calm, pleasant, forbidding, etc. To dream that you are looking toward the water, suggests that you are returning to what is familiar to you. Alternatively, you may be adapting or accepting to the changes and circumstances in your life. To dream that you are relaxing on a beach, signifies that the coming weeks will be calm and tranquil for you. Your stress will be alleviated and you will find peace of mind. To dream that you are working on the beach might signify a business project that will consume most of your time.
