My mate is worried he might have been caught slightly speeding, he saw a white van(unmarked) which had a black window at the back. Thanks.

Actually, no they don't.

Speed camera vans operated by the police must be marked as such and always are.

Speed camera vans operated by the local highways authority (as many now are) are usually just plain white vans, with blacked out rear windows. They are not required to have any sort of identification. I know this from bitter experience...

ok these vans with camreas have flaps on the back if it was open they are looken for speeders and they have to be seen by the driver and they have to be marked up by law but there is a new van nocken around and they look like these speed camrea vans but they are not they are the new vans what carry the prissoner to the police station because the police are not allowed to carry prisoners in the patrol cars

If he is that worried, then obviously he is a chronic speeder. Imagine how badly I would feel for him if he got a ticket in the mail, but, having slowed down because the van scared him, he didn't hit and kill a child.

Dunno,but the bast***ds got me twice,they where marked,but you cant read this until you are right on top of them.

here in s wales they put them anywhere.they dont care its about making money not safety.
