When watermelon is frozen the cell walls burst as the liquids expand. Try it with a small peice.
Try blending watermelon and freezing the juice with a little lemon.
Or make watermelon ice cubes to put in other juices.
YUM!

Unfortunately, you're gonna be eating a LOT of watermelon (which isn't a bad thing!!) due to the fact that watermelon doesn't take well to freezing....upon thawing, it will be a mushy mess.......But you know, you could get a bunch of friends and make some delicious fresh watermelon daiquiris, all you need is the watermelon, some white rum or vodka and a blender and some ice......sounds great and refreshing on a hot summer's day......Enjoy!!!!

You can but it will be mushy when you defrost it. I put the leftover watermelon in the blender, then pour it into ice cube trays and freeze to add to lemonade and fruit punch. You can also make watermelon pops that way too. See some recipes below

No, the texture is ruined my freezing.
It will keep well in the frig for a week. You need to either scoop it out and put it in tightly covered container(s)... make fruit salad or cover cut end tightly with plastic wrap and sit face down on large plate....

Share with neighbors or friends ... I usually split one with my sister.
