I feel the say way. I find myself in continuous prayer as I'm going throughout my day. While I'm cleaning, playing with my children, at the store and I'm about to hand out a tract. I find it so easy to stay in the will of God and resist temptation when we're focused on Him. God bless

Talking to God does make me closer. We have to remember that prayer shouldn't be used as a sounding board. We should also use it to listen to God. Pray is talking with God, not just talking to him. The last time I prayed today was during my worship service this morning.

The last time I prayed was this morning when I made offering to my Gods. I will also be praying at the commencement of the on-line meeting of my religious organization, when I next eat, and whenever today I am inspired to (which will most likely be several times)
And for the poster who found that the religion he was trying to be was not for him although he tried to make it fit, I respectfully submit that perhaps he was trying to honor the wrong Gods for him..... I know from personal experience in trying to remain Christian while the Greek Gods were calling me to Thier service that it is a losing battle.

Lady, if praying gives you any measure of comfort, you should continue it as an important part of your life. For me, there was no "last time" that I prayed because there was no "first time." A wee lad I was when it was clear to me that gods and all that were yet more mythology, myth, fairytale, fiction. It was painless, and afterward my mind was completely at rest and no longer burdened by the idiocy and hypocrisy I witnessed very nearly every waking day all around me.

Sorry m'lady but I have not prayed in a long long time.
I used to pray everytime before I went to sleep and say my thanks for my life and for the day to God.
Now I say my thanks to the earth for the beautiful day and supporting me by giving me food, shelter and all the rest.
I was Christian and was so since birth, not really out of choice but it was my families religion. I went to a religious school so I know enough about religion to know it's not right for me. So I think the last time I prayed would have been last year when I was still religious.
Sorry if I dissapointed you heh

It does. I went alone last night for while to a secluded spot on the golf course near our house and spent time venting to God about concerns and discoveries I've made and the frustration I have over knowing change is needed in myself but not how to execute that change. It was a powerful dynamic and I recieved some answers but I know there is more that needs to be said and thought and discovered...prayer is there...but more than that you have to stay in the Word of God...mostly Isaiah, Psalms and the 4 gospels..but all of it in order to build on what God has to say to you and I...thats the real connection. God bless you. Love in Christ, ~J~

Let me encourage you to keep praying, because praying does change things. You are right that you stay closer to Him also. He loves it when we talk to Him. I try to pray as much as possible and I think I talk constantly to Him about everything that is on my mind. He promises us that we will be change from glory to glory, this is what is happening in your life. God Bless and keep going forward in his love and power.

I pray daily and am always ready to pray if anyone has a need, or even if I just want to talk to the Lord.

The last time I PRAYED prayed was a couple years ago when I was questioning my sexuality. However, I'll say a few "God, help me find this," or "Please don't let me hit that car" every now and then, but nothing really serious.
