i dont think her milk is filling them up because they want to constantley feed. i let the mother roam outside for a while to streach out so she isnt stuck in the room all day.

Don't take them away from her entirely.. If she'll still feed them some, allow her to do that.. I would mix up your kibble with some milk replacer, soak it in water and let it turn to mush.. Offer it to the puppies.. AFTER mom has fed them.. Her milk is better than anything you can make up for them, so let her feed them first, then offer them kibble.. They aren't too young to eat now, and it's better to supplement them than to have them going without. They have teeth they are capable of eating food.

But keep mom around them as long as she is treating them nicely. She has a whole lot more to offer them than just something to eat.

While Mom is away from the Pups moisten a flat puppy feeder or shallow bowl with Puppy food.Preferably Dry Puppy Food, just moisten with warm water. You may have to put them near the food at first but they will catch on if they are hungry. Also you might offer water in a shallow bowl as well.Don't use anything they can just fall into and drown in .And don't just leave the food in there unattended at first.Mom seems to already be trying to wean so this will help.Mom will eat the puppy food if she is near. You will have to seperate them from her.Good Luck and I hope this helped.

hi, do the pups have teeth?
you can feed them soft puppy food,
as in put warm milk mixed in the dry pup
chow, there is a powder milk you can get
from the feed store called (milk replacer)
its powder form, usually puppies dont
start eating until 5-6wks,

We started at 3 weeks. I just put the food down and left it there. I had several bowls to make sure they each got enough. I left food in the bowl at all times. I don't know if you are supposed to do this or not but we do it for the mom dog so I figured it was OK.
