Are you referring to the recent spate of imported Chinese goods causing or potentially causing harm? (e.g., poisoned animal foods, use of leaded paint in toys, etc) If so, I wonder how long it has been going on, and why they seem to be happening all-of-a-sudden? Could it be more of a propaganda campaign by the current US administration to stop our money from leaving the country, thus increasing our deficit and causing a recession?
(isn't rhetoric wonderful?) ;)
