Yes. Faith can also be used to support theology that is completely illogical. In fact, an illogical theology couldn't exist for long without faith.

Faith is fundamentally flawed in that there is no requirement for truth where faith is involved. Thats why all faith based religions are false.
Frankly any theology should be discarded if it isn't supported by facts and testable today.

Since in your question you used the word "can" then of course the answer would have to be yes. As far as I am concerned this was your goal from the start and not a dialog of information exchange. But there are Christians who have faith because they know God's word . They have watched prophesy come to pass just as it is written. You don't believe in the accuracy of the bible mostly because you choose not to . But it has shown itself to be accurate. Seems like atheistic proselytizing me.

It does frequently. Theology relies on unsubstantiated "faith" to sustain it, since critical inquiry and rational thought would soon disprove it.

Actually - if you base your life on "Faith" and "Faith Alone" then you can believe in anything and there is no proof against it because you would only consider "faith".
For example -
I have faith that god loves me.
I have faith that Apollo is the god of the Sun.
I have faith that my dead grandmother talks to me in dreams.
See - there is no room for any rationality and reason.

the person may call it faith...I'd call it "sincerity".
I can sincerely believe I'm going to fly when I step off the cliff, but my faith isn't going to do anything. There's faith grounded in the true Living God, and there's faith in the god of my heart.

Of course. Evolution, Nazism, Communism all have religious fervor held by faith though on very shakey ground.

The devil doesn't care what you believe as
long as it's not the truth.
