Yep, that word non-existence would be the key.

It was not non existence for me. I can remember waiting in a white room in a house (but I couldnt leave the house although I could see outside) just after World War 2 before I was born now. What was before that i dont know.
But after I die I believe there is something, and that if I chose I can be born again.

That seems somewhat likely. Of course, just because you don't remember what happened before you were born doesn't actually mean that you didn't exist.
That leads to an interesting question -
If absolutely no one and nothing contains any memory or record of an event, did it actually take place?
Also, if you have absolutely no capacity for memory, can you be self-aware?

I believe that non of us were non existent before we were born as Gods word says that we are a part of his wonderful plan. And if you are a christian then you know that when its time to leave this world we enter into our eternal home with everything we will ever need ,where we will spend our days worshipping Jesus christ our eternal saviour..

Well Dave,I'm not so sure it was non-existence before we were born. I think it's arranged for us to not recall it in great detail, so I don't think the after-life will be boring!
Just my take on things!

not at all...the after life, is full of life. through jesus, we can have eternal life in heaven, without him we get eternal life in hell, it's our choice. i have actually spoke with people who have experienced neardeath experiences, they are very vivid details. and i know family that while they were dying they saw heaven and started talking about what they were seeing before they died. i have heard of how the unbelievers that i know that experienced a brush with death, were on their way to hell, and they described it to me. and then those who were saved, were on their way to heaven, and they too had very descriptive events to speak of. you have no idea of all the wonderful things you will experience in heaven...the universe will be your playground, and if you ever come to the end of gods creations and have managed to see and do everything then he will create you more, your eternity will not be boring. and you also have no idea of the pain and suffering you will experience if you don't accept god, you will wish that eternity didn't last so long. i pray that everyone on here will accept him, and take the wonderful gift that he has for us.

Just because you can't remember what it was like before you were born, doesn't mean it didn't exist.
Yes; I think it would be the same real ' home' we left before we came on this learning journey to Earth, to experience the physical - with all it's imperfections.

If it was non existence you didn't experience it.
The after life is some what described all through the 'Bible. You have to study the whole thing to find the message that moves all through it.
Might also help eliminate juvenile thinking and questions though.

You have no idea what you experienced before birth. So you speak from lack of experience. Just remember, there are some scenarios that if you are wrong, you will be eternally sorry.

Glad you used the word 'likely' because no one knows what their state was before they were born and no one has come back from the dead to tell us what it was like. I suppose Lazarus might have given us a clue when Jesus raised him from the dead but if he did no one thought it worth recording.
