Guess I figure it's not for us to judge them that appear materialistic. Many have worked very hard for what they have, and share their 'bounty'. The Bible does say, "Easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into Heaven". But doesn't really say impossible. I've often wished I could be rich so I could help the many people just in my close world that always seem to need it. It does upset me to see rich folks that will no way help their children out of a bind, when the children are proving themselves to be hard-working, etc. and just need a break! AND the folks appear as hard-core, church-going christians, giving thousands to church every year! Go figure! That is one of my downfalls when it comes to "Judge not.."

You are correct.
However, now you have to convince all of the "Sunday Christians" in this country that they have gone astray.
Please start with George W., Dick Cheney, Pat Robertson, all of the other televangelist who promise wealth and happiness if you send them a check (wealth and happiness for them once they get your check...) and work your way down.
Please post to let us all know of your success.
Seriously, this is such common knowledge than any "Christian " who disputes it is simply a hypocrite, which is why so many person reject faith.
It is also found in Judaism, Islam and all other religions.
May it all be well with you.

I agree with punch. Why do preachers on TV have to be so lavish in the way they go about preaching/living etc. I think it is just pride most of the time. They think they have achieved salvation... and now they are sons and daughters of God and thus can dress like kings/queens and be judgemental about everything else.

Just take a look at the preachers on T.V..
What's the difference between materialistic and worldy to living comfortable? I think they look on it as there "reward" for spreading the word.
