Rimfire rifle: Ruger 10/22; rimfire pistol: (I'd opt for a revolver in this case) A Ruger Single-six w/interchangeable cylinder for .22 Magnum; Centerfire rifle: FAL .308/7.62x51 NATO; centerfire handgun: S & W Model 28 .357 Magnum 6" barrel; shotgun: Remington 870 w/20" rifled barrel n an extra smooth barrel for shooting birds.
Reasons: You need .22s for small game n close in work. The 10/22 is reliable, accurate and has many options available for it. The Ruger Single-six is nearly indestructable and you double the versitility by having the .22 Mag extra cylinder. If I can have only one centerfire rifle it would have to serve me for hunting and defense. The FAL does well in both departments, uses 20 round magazines and is chambered for the high performance 7.62x51 NATO ammo and .308 hunting ammo. A .357 Mag especially a six incher is very versitile. It is a great manstopper and will do as a hunting revolver in a pinch. The S & W Model 28 (based on the .44 Magnum platform) is nearly indestructible in .357 Magnum. Finally, the 870 Remington is legendary, ultra reliable and with a smooth n rifled barrel it will double as a 'carbine' as well as a bird shooter. Great defensive/survival shotgun, too.

1. Rimfire Rifle= .22 LR. I pick this classic little cartridge because ammo is very cheap, guns are plentiful, and it outsells every single caliber on the market by a very big margin.
2. Rimfire Pistol= .22 Magnum. I pick the .22 Mag. because it is basically two .22 LR's put together, and is a handy little sidearm for any thing up to the size of coyotes.
3. Centerfire Rifle= .30-06 Springfield. This weapon needs little introduction. It is still the most popular, yet most versatile rifle for all big game on the market today. It outsells every other cartridge, other than the .22 LR, and rifles and ammo are extremely plentiful. If you have one of these, you will never need another rifle for hunting North America.
4. Centerfire Handgun= .44 Magnum. The most popular of the centerfire handgun calibers. Heavy, but still manageable recoil. Capable of taking most big game in North America.
5. Shotgun= 12 gauge. The most popular of all gauges in the world. Ammo is again plentiful, and very versatile in the hunting field.

Rimfire pistol: SIG Mosquito
Rimfire rifle: Ruger 10/22
C rifle: DPMS Panther Lite(223)
C handgun: 1911 45
Shot gun: Mossberg 500(12g)
The sig is a great plinking gun for cans or small pests. The ruger is probably the best 22 rifle out there and can be customized easily. The panther is a smaller ar variant that can be used for fun or tactical applications,223 ammo isnt very expensive either. The 1911 is the best handgun in my opinion to have ever been made,45s are man stoppers so very good for self defense. The 500 is a very versatile shotgun platform you could hunt or tactically breach just about anything with it. Gotta stop, Im drooling on my keyboard...lol

1. rimfire rifle : carter custom bolt. creates accuracy through quality not weight and it is beautiful.
2. rimfire pistol: a stroked out markii-iii. I have tried the rest I chose the best. The only question is who to get to stroke it out?
3. Centerfire rifle: AR-15. Why? Because it is just too much fun!!! I know it limits my hunting choices. Guns are about relaxing and having fun.
4. Centerfire handgun: This was the toughest but I go with a custom double stack sti in .40 (no compensator or optics). I own one and I still get chills when I pick it up. People talk about quality with sigs and HK's but this makes them look like yugos. The guy who built it (not a big name) tuned everything. TOO MUCH FUN TO SHOOT.
5. Berreta al390. never gave me a problem fits me perfect. I tinker with guns constantly and can't find a dern thing to do with this one. The only gun I own that has not been customized at all. I got the cheap wood and it is still nice.
