Yes it does. And the smell is really nice and refreshing. I used this shampoo before and loved it during winter when the cold weather zaps the moisture out of my hair. However, being a aussie product, the stores carried stocks of it sporadically.
They were also getting sold in huge containers (for horses?), eg. a cylinder that contains at least half a gallon that doesnt fit in my shower or bathroom .
Their marketing is not that great I guess, but yes, it works, no build up at all and if you can find it, by all means use it.

Hi! I heard that it made your hair softer and thicker! I used it a few years ago 1 time! It was like Vaseline! I could not get it out! I don't know if it is still the same, but rub some one your arm and see if you can wash it off before you use it on your head! Good Luck! P.S I went to beauty school years ago and we used a conditioner called cholesterol! It worked great for almost any type hair! I don't know if it was Mane N Tail shampoo or conditioner that i used! But please try washing off first! And i had to use java soap to remove the Mane N Tail!

I agree, it did absolutely nothing for me nor my friend that tried it. You just have to let your hair grow at it's natural pace, you can't speed it up any. You can take steps to make it more health though while it's growing, take vitamins use a good shampoo + conditioner! :))
-- Good luck!

Only vitamins will make your hair grow. No shampoo can do that.

I didn't like it. I tried it for a month and my hair, which is normally difficult to untangle, was worse than before using MNT. I'm not saying it doesn't work, just didn't work for my hair.
