Recruiting strategy:

1] Tell you my beliefs are right, yours are wrong, without regard to the fact you might be more mature, better educated, far more experienced in life than I am.

2] Point to an ancient book compiled by savage, semi-barbarians and tell you it explains why I'm right and you are wrong.

3} Threaten you with eternal torture if you don't agree to abandon everything you hold sacred in favor of everything I hold sacred.

4] Promise you if you convert, you can spend eternity in company with ME!!!

Did it work?
Are you converted?

So how do you know the bible is wrong, just because you don't believe in it? You don't; you're only stating your opinion. We have the faith to know that the bible is true, and God is real. If you choose not to believe, then that's between you and God.

2 Timothy 2:23 -- Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.
------------------------
EDIT: Roadrat, first off, you're a Christian? Do you follow the Bible and Jesus' teachings? Because nowhere in the Bible have I found that states to call other people bigots (esp. brothers & sisters in Christ). Did I miss that verse? I did find this verse though; perhaps you missed it.

1 Thessalonians 4:9 -- Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.

I'm also curious...how would you turn the following scriptures into justifying abortion?

Psalm 127:3 -- Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward.

Deuteronomy 30:19 -- This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.

God bless.

BEAUTIFUL!! I love the way you just exposed the hypocrisy of the scare tactic-employing "Christian" proselytizers!

It's a REALLY good thing that at least 99% of us Christians DON'T ever proselytize, or the world would be in the process of very rightfully becoming VERY fed up with us!

(And for anyone who may think the Bible **isn't** as you describe above, in places, I refer you to Ex. 21:20-25. It's the ONLY passage in the entire Bible that defends a *fetus* -- but it does so by regarding it as mere PROPERTY... while the passage as a whole *condones* SLAVERY.)

-- "Roadrat" -- Actual and normal Christian. Never to be confused with the *pseudo*-Christian bigots of the RRR Cult... the "Religious" Radical Right.

To "thc4me2bake" -- Oh, fer Pete's sake. You have 'WAY too much time on your hands, to write such twaddle. Get a life.

I would answer this question in my native language but you wouldnt understand, but there is a turn of phrase for folks like you.See the one with all the right answers and tells you your wrong(talking to you now).Either has the most guns or is more fanatical. Why is it that most athiests are undereducated in the secular sense, are you aware even einstein belived in a God my dear boy.from a mathematical point of view the liniear order to which life and the universe is compiled leads one to belive, that there is some intellegence which designed all of this, the big bang theory doesnt look good on paper, simple physics tells you every action has a reaction, so simple logic would imply something had to be there to start this chain reaction-a1=b2=c3 , i understand you want tofeel important so get a dog , it will listen to you all day, and agree with eveything you say.

That is very funny, because it is so truly the way many Christians think. Even the ones who believe that they are being nice about it, still come across that way. I love it when people hold a mirror up in front of people, to show them how they appear to others. *sm*

OK. I just made some cardboard wings and strapped them on and flapped my arms and flew around the world. Now over a million people saw me do it and somebody wrote a book all about it and me and my virgin mother. So you should all kneel down and worship me as your savior because if you do you get some cardboard wings just like mine when you die but if you don't believe in me, well you just better or else. Go ahead. Get your best scientists on this and prove me a liar. I dare you.

Grace(not law) unto you, and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus-->Christ.

Indeed, know-ing the truth makes you free of believe-ing the beliefs(lies) of first and last "many" deceived by many shall come... to DECEIVE... and shall deceive "many", with a unkept promise of being made free by another law(bondage) witch makes proselyzed ppl feel wretched(PTSD), the second law witch is like the first law: sin and death = dead end, of the new and dead way instead of the new and living way. Not to mention "devils believe", also fear and tremble: James 2:19, so the higher exhortation (from above law law) is to "believe [it] not": Matthew 24:23,26; 1John 4:1; the [it] being what should not be spoken, let alone amened: James 3; For James 1:15 notes law imputed sin, when "it is finished", [it] brings death (of life + death, not life only)

No matter, the (grace us) end is already Pauline written,
in accordance with Let there be light(understanding, grace),
and oppose yourself with law vs law a recover-able illness;
Iff your law vs law becomes grace before your @ss is grass.
For the better of good/better is not the new and living way,
for it's only better for some, not all, so new and dead way.

Only greatest of (great-->greater)-->greatest never fails;
And greatest is NEITHER great NOR greater for some.

Pst: Wise... Wiser(is the name of a '''Lock''')... Wisest

May yer ha ha become aha before yer @ss is grass.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Wouldn't work for me, but then I'm already a Christian and that is not how I came to be one. It sure does make more sense to me than just believing some garbage about my ancestors starting out as a lowly tadpole. If you want to spread the word that your ancestors are tadpoles and monkeys go ahead, I'd be ashamed and humiliated to admit such a thing as that. I however, proudly state that I was created by God. Have a nice day.

Ahhh, but the misconception may lie in those who are more quick on the trigger, and do not truly take any time at all before they respond.

Of this, I am guilty myself.
