May be not for ever but a long time yet , You can not go into another country and destroy it`s government, military, monetary system, and social system .Then just walk away in 6 mths--1yr--10yrs
There is 4 ways to do this
1. Destroy every living person
2. Leave and let them fall into civil war
3. Build a new system for them help them recover & govern
4. Not destroy by war but help to change peacfully
I think it will end up with all troops leaving and civil war prevailing then the winners of that will set up a new self governing system and the strife will go on .

There will never be Peace or a Iraq not full of violence. What we see in Iraq/The Middle East, has been going on since Biblical days. Therefore, the only way for Peace or a resolution to the war in Iraq, is when Earth itself is destroyed.

US in Iraq
When a Democrat gets elected to office and we run the hell out of there
I say 2020 latest
As for War in Iraq,
Never, look at Iraqs history, since the Islamic calipha it has never been over 10 years without a war, (with the possible exception of the US-Iraq ceasefire 1991-2002), you know who I blame for war in Iraq, the Mongols, those filthy war-mongering mongols.
Sectarian Violence is out of control, too many polar opposites slapped into a powder keg of hate

THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA will not give this battle a chance to look good unless there is a democrat in office, but most importantly now is that there is progress. Noone could ever expect that the people of Iraq would take this long to be able to be emotionally strong enough and prideful enough to take control, but they will be. It is their country now, not Saddams. these people are tribal in nature, so its just messier till it gets better, but it is truly a necessary war of good over evil, and i hope Bush wipes Iran off the face of the earth before he leaves office too. we need to win this war if we want to keep our freedoms all over the world. this just isnt a battle for the US even though we seem to be the only ones fighting it....and you are welcome! PS I give it another 5 years as long as we dont leave to get it mostly under control)
LOVE MUFFIN? you once again are just plain nasty. The US is not trying to dominate, maybe you dont understand our committment to helping others and defending ourself. this is a battle to defend our freedom so you can spew your nastiness. We dont get our oil from Kuwait, you know and how long have we had a presence there...so just shut up

It will not be over for a long time.
Iran is next.
America's intention and goal is to Rule the Middle East and control the supply of oil.
The war creates patriotism and the president can easily control the media and the population and carry out his agenda of money making.
The American people really really need to wake up and simply put stop being so dumb.
If this war is to bring democracy to Iraq then why did we kill many many more people than Saddam Hussein ever did.
America is currently viewed throughout the world as an EVIL Dictatorship that destroys countries for no reason.

The "war on terror" ? Maybe after Bush steps down. But the war on hunger, indifference and other evils, no one knows.
