fruit, chips, cereal bars, chicken wraps, etc.

You should go ahead and buy a small cooler to keep in your truck. They have nice ones that plug into your AC adapter and will keep food warm.

Invest in a small Coleman cooler, a few ice packs, and a thermos. The thermos is good for hot soups. For lunches there's yogurt, leftovers from the night before, chips, salads, cut up veggies, . (Oh yeah, pick up some Gladware containers too.) I like packing pasta salads, green salads get wilted if you don't pack the dressing separately which is a hassle.

Good luck in the new career!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMGr2

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

If your on a constuction site wait for the "Lunch trunk" to arrive. Solution for both the fridge and microwave problem. Yep sandwiches will get boring, so your going to have to tough it out.

cold pizza can be a great and nutritious lunch. They also sell little flasks (by Thermos) that you can fill with pasta. Pasta is easy to make and all you do is reheat in the morning and put it in the flask while hot. It will still be hot at lunchtime. You can also do stews in that flask. Beef, barley and potaoes, served with a side of chewy french bread. YUM.

My husband isn't a carpenter but he takes his lunch to work 4 days a week with 2 snacks included since he works 10 to 12 hour shifts in the hospital. He hates hospital food. I have been making his lunch for 35 years and he hasn't complained yet. He has a nuke now but didn't until they built this new hospita. I suggest you go to walmart and pick out a good wide mouth thermos for hot foods, you can put chili or stew or soup in or any leftovers that you want from the day before's dinner. I've sent roast and potatoes in them for my husband. I keep two of them so that he can take a good hot meal. Get yourself some of the Glad plastic containers of all sizes too(come in kits of variety of sizes) and are good for sandwiches, salads, etc. Use the small oval ones for standing crackers in. They are perfect for about a dozen crackers for the soups and keep them from breaking in plastic bags. DO NOT get a lunch pail. Instead, purchase a small cooler because it will keep any food more healthy and allow space for any drinks like bottled water, sodapop, fruit juices, teas or lemonades. And then get some of those freezer blocks that you put into them to keep things cold. They aren't messy like ice is. Make sure you keep anything that will go into the cooler for lunch in the refridgerator the night before to get cold, like canned drinks. That will help keep things cool when you pack it, and if you work outside, never set your cooler in the sun. Your hot thermos you can carry alone if you take a hot soup, etc in it and the cold things can be kept in the cooler. Ideas for cold food: veggies and dip; cut up fresh fruit (use fruit fresh to keep it from turning brown); tossed salad; develed eggs; tuna or seafood or chicken or ham salad with crackers (there are a variety of choices out there of those); burrito rollups (cream cheese or shredded cheese with any lunchmeat or meat salad mentioned above and add tomato or lettuce in them if desired; lunchables found in the cold lunchmeat section in supermarkets; any premade applesauce, fruit, jello, pudding cups found in the canned goods section of the supermarket; fresh whole fruit; homemade pastries like cupcakes and brownies; cornbread or biscuits to go with your soups or stews; any kind of chips that you favor for eating with any of the meals you prepare; protein or healthy snack bars; raisins, nuts; dried fruit, etc. The list can go on and on. I hope that helps. My husband has never been bored with his lunches and thinks I pack too mcuh sometimes. Always remember to include snacks for break time.
