Yeah its normal. Either you're watching Tv or the computer in the dark which will do this to your eyes. It makes it hard for you to focus on other than bright things if you do this. Next time you use your computer sit a little farther back than you usually do and make sure the lights are on even if you are watching a movie turn on a small light in the back just t add a little lighting. If you need glasses your vision will be fuzzy not red eyes.

No, it's not normal, but there are lots of possible causes.
Low blink rate/failure to blink, causing dry eyes.
(especially found when playing fast-moving games)
Static build-up in dry atmosphere.
(more on older screens)
Accommodation issues. (undetected longsight can cause fatigue even if things seem clear)
Binocular vision instability or fatigue.
Flicker sensitivity if screen has an inadequate refresh rate.
(this can be subliminal)
Screen brightness or contrast too high, causing glare problems.
Somewhere in there is almost certainly the answer, leaving aside the odd ones such as the computer being next to a houseplant that you're allergic to.
Yoga will deal with few, if any, of those.

I have the same problem in the dry season, I use artificial tears and dim the computer screen as much as I can, I also try to work in a room that is neither too bright or too dark and protect form air and dust.
It's basically the same principle than yoga: taking good care of yourself...

1. Yoga doesn't do anything.
2. computer screens are not exactly natural, all that bright light and decreased blinking are not good for your eyes.
some people react to it differently, but you may just be one who should stay away from computers.
