OH MY GOD! You're still alive?!.....YOU SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOURSELF ALREADY....Or at least studied up on history. Well, obviously you haven't studied due to your reposting of this question....YOU F#@KING IDIOT. Either get hopping on studying or hurry up and kill yourself. You might as well, since you have already wasted yourself. You're utterly useless.

Oh I understand now, you have an excuse. You were too busy to properly study because a movie with Hilary Duff and Lindsey Lohan together must have come out, and you just had to go buy some bubble gum and go see it.

Well, now that you have some time.....go and run a warm bath and slit your wrists (make sure that you cut along the arm and not across the wrist because I wouldn't want you to make a mistake. Make sure that you do this correctly because you are just completely worthless to society. Seeing how moronic you are, you'll most likely screw this up.)

Semper Fidelis,
Mikey

It's been a big cause for some wars, but not all of them. Look in the United States for that.

The Revolutionary War was started for independence.

The War of 1812 was started over unfair trade practices.

The Civil War was mainly a result of the slavery issue.

World War I was a result of a power struggle throughout Europe.

Those are just some wars started because of other issues than religion. As far as I can tell, people haven't needed religious differences to kill each other.

There are wars between people of different religions but there are also treaties and peace between people of different religions. I don't believe that religion is the main reason for war. And if a person truly believes in God and there being a place likened to paradise then it would seem that they may want to be religious. People don't really understand religions that are not their own because they're really not in touch woth their own religion. If a person was into their own religion they could tolerate people who are different from them.

I think the main reason for war is land usually, religion is noble so people use it as a reason but most of time (especially crusades) it was more about land and stuff than anything else. But it sounds good to your people if your doing "gods work" its unfortunate but I try to just think God does no wrong, PEOPLE do wrong. People take everything the wrong way.

It's not religion that causes the wars, it is the underlying delusion caused by our eyes that creates wars. To our eyes, we seem separate, yet our lives are inextricable merged in a web of life. Most of us intellectually know of the connections, but our eyes keep fooling us into predatory habits.

He agreed with my conclusion, but is a neurologist, not a historian, so he does not pursue the social implications of his work beyond the patient realm

Where did you hear that?

War is caused by many reasons, not just religion.
Such as the Civil War, which was caused by the conflict between slave states and free states. Or the War on Terrorism, which was caused because Bush thought fighting Iraq would stop them from being terrorists.

War is about people and leaders.

America and England and Religion didn't make war in Iraq, President Bush and Prime Minister Blair did that.

Wow I didn't know that. So World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, The Spanish American war, War of 1812, Desert Storm, The Iraq war, Revolutionary War, Civil War were all religious wars? I was really misinformed.

It's not really, it's dualistic thinking WITHIN relgions and people's minds that are the main reasons for war and other causes of harm and suffering. You can find altruistic, compassionate people in any religion, who are against wars.
