Hey guys, im right now 5'11" and 180" pounds, Im built towards the lighter side, I've got muscle, and fat. I excercise a lot, im talking 3-6 times a week 3-6 hours a day when i excercise. im 15 1/2 years old, i think i might be a late grower as underarm hair has just started coming in, you couldnt see it unless you were close up and searching. I was wondering if i would grow to possibly 6'2" or something. I never ate very healthy as a child, in the last 3 months i've grown 1 inch. My dad is 5'7" my mom is 5'5" my grandpa and uncle are both around 6. The test i took told me i would be like 5'9". According to the growth chart i would be like 6'3". Any one think i will grow taller? or have any tips to help me get that height?

You are already quite tall, especially for your age. Most peoplee stop growing at 17, so I think that you could possibly reach 6'1"-6'2". However, If you stay at the height you are now you will still be taller than average. The game of basketball has been known to stretch people. If you do not currently play, consider getting into it. Good luck!

If you're dad and mom are both that short... count your blessings that you are 5'11". That in itself is amazing. Lucky for your there are other tall people in your family - that is probably why. It's unlikely you will get much taller ... but not impossible. There is nothing you can do to make yourself taller - it's pure heredity. And if anyone says you can - they're full of it. Also, exercising or 3 to 6 hours a day at 15 1/2 is ridiculous! Is it because of a sport or job? If not ... that is WAY too much exercise in one day for anyone! That's a waste of time. An hour a day should be plenty.

If you are weight lifting be careful and be sure you are not overdoing. Some studies say that is you do it too young it can actually hurt your growth. 5'11" is a good height. It's just fine. I know plenty of guys who would die for that height. Just be grateful you even got that tall with the size of your dad and if you get any taller consider it a blessing!

Since you are still within the growing age , you can add a few inches by eating a balanced diet and leading an active life. A nutritious diet that includes fruits and vegetables, dairy, cereals, meat, and plenty of water will aid the natural process for enhancing height. A good and proper night’s sleep is also essential for the growth process. Taking part in active sports along with some stretching exercises can have a cumulative effect on human growth. There is not much we can do to grow taller after puberty. There are many products in the market today that claim to increase height of adults, but they are all scams without sufficient scientific evidence. Surgical options, though available, are EXTREMELY RISKY and of course expensive. This leaves us with basically two options.

1. Stretching Exercises: - These exercises will help you improve your posture. You’ll be surprised that how much of “Height” is hidden behind your slouched back. You can, at any age, add an inch or two of height by simply improving your posture. Follow the link below for information on specific height enhancing exercises:

2. Second, you can create a “Taller” effect by following some smart fashion techniques. You can easily add another inch or two of “illusionary height” by improving your dress coordination. The link below can provide some input on height increase through fashion effect:

Good luck

I have 11 older brothers and they all grew until a year into college. Sence you grew an entire inch in only 3 months...I think you will definately grow to 6'1 or 6'2. Usually you know that you're going to stop growing soon when you've only grown 1/4 an inch in 9-12 months.

Can't really go by the growth chart because it doesn't factor in genetics. Your uncle is the best comparison, since he's around 6 feet, that will probably be your final height.

Males typically keep growing til they are 21, so it's still to early to tell.

yes i think you will. noone completely stops growing until they are about 25. you're only 15 and you should have another growth sprout somewhere between 16 and 17. yes genetics has a lot to do with it but if you are already growing at the rate you say you are. then you will most likely be taller than you dad.

You're perfectly fine. You'll stop growing around 18/20 but not too much as you're already taller than your parents.
