Well i have three cats and we recently moved into a new home. we have lived here for about three months. My cats are used to the home. They are outside inside cats so they are all spayed and nudered. We got a doggy door flap so they can go in and out throughout the day (we lock it at night so they stay in) we trained the 2 cats to use the grass or bushes outside to do there "buisness". My other cat on the other hand is a scaredy cat and will not go near the cat door. For her to go outside we have to sit by the front door and leave it open. Yet she will run back inside if someone walks or drives by so she wont stay out long The problem is we dont have a litter box inside and we would but we dont want to have to deal with all the cleaning and the smell So at night if she has to go she'll go in the tub. Thats not so bad i can clean it up Well she is ALWAYS in my parents room so she does her buisness in their tub. Well im worried shes going to do it on the carpet and my dad will get rid o

Give in, give her a litter box. An animal doesnt ask for too much . In the scheme of things, and where you are NOW, it was waaaay easier to deal with the littler box. Think about it.

Put the littler box inside the house first. Cats are directional and habitual creatures, they get attracted to their "territory" by the scents they leave behind. After 3 months, put it just ouside the door. signalling she has to use the flap.

Is there a fence right outside the porch? Maybe she had smelled predators, and she knows that she can be vulnerable with her backside open to attack by cayotes as she will creep into the flap.

Be patient. The other cats may be males, so are more dominant and fearless. This one is well- a scaredy cat.

What a very GOOD kitty she is!! She has to go to the bathroom, she's frightened to go outside and her owners won't give her a litter box to use inside, so she picks a place to go (that turns out to be pretty easy to keep clean!) and uses the SAME PLACE each time!

You say "I have three cats", so since they are your cats, you need to decide if you are willing to be a responsible owner or not. It is your responsibility to see that all of your cats are well cared for, and in the case of your "scaredy cat", that may mean putting a small litter box in some out of the way corner of the house and being responsible for cleaning it and changing the litter. Or maybe putting another cat door into the garage and putting a litter box out there for her to use, where she will be less frightened. f you don't want to do this, you should consider giving her to someone who will take care of her.

They have disposable versions of litter boxes (they cost a little more), but when they are too soiled, you just throw them away and get a new one. And if you scoop them every day, they really don't smell until they are ready to be changed or replaced. If only one cat is using the box, it will probably only need to be changed 10 days or so.

Trust me, it's a lot less "gross" to scoop litter into a grocery bag once a day, and throw it all into a garbage bag once every 10 days when you add new litter ... than it is to clean up the bathtub after your cat uses it for a litter box!!

seriously, get her a cat box, they aren't that hard to take care of, and it can't be any worse than cleaning up the tub, and it's more sanitary. You shouldn't make your cat go outside if it's so scared. Like the one person said, what a good kitty to find a safe spot to go inside the house, she's obviously clean, and I'm sure she would be happier covering up her poops in a cat box, cats like to bury their waste.

You may be able to train the cat to use the potty. Check out this site. I've heard it works great. (My cat has a litter box. I understand why your parents don't want one! But I am never home to make sure my cat can get trained well.)

just get one of the litter boxes that cleans itself, sure you will have 1 litter box, but you still can keep the cat, and it's better than 3 litter boxes. The one litter boxes were it scrapes it does most of the wok for you anyways.

Well if you don't want to own a litter box then give her away. I don't see why. If you don't want to deal with the cleaning up you aren't a good pet owner.

Automatic little box.

They are very clean.(expensive though 200 dollars for mine)

Very easy up keep

and dont smell bad

Basically they do their business. when they leave a rake pushes it into an bag that you then pick up and throw away.
