I know that many trust & obey & love God with all their heart, mind, soul & strength.

But what about the ones who won't renew their mind in the Word of God (by reading the bible)? The ones who won't gather together with the Saints to praise God & hear the Word of God preached? (Faith comes by hearing & hearing the Word...)

Why do they listen to their lust of the flesh (reacting by yelling, cussing, or too tired to go to church, read the bible, or pray, etc.), rather than making the soul choice to follow after the (fruits of the) Spirit & making the soul choice to Trust & Obey God?

Kait 1Jn2:3 And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. Knowing God is reading His Word & trusting & obeying God. But we are all at a different place of maturity in our walk in the Lord.

And we do go to God repentant when we sin. We know who to go to. Jesus Christ the righteous, our adovcate with the Father.

I used to ask the same question about disobedient Christians and then I did a study on the book of 1 John and I got my answer. The Apostle John writes very clearly and there is no misunderstanding what he means. He does not mince his words. He also was one of Jesus' closest friends.

1 John 2:3 And how can we be sure that we belong to him? By obeying his commandments. If someone says, "I belong to God." but doesn't obey God's commandments, that person is a liar and does not live in the truth.

The Holy bible is the same story that hasn't changed in over 2,000 years. Preachers really don't have any new material to share with the flock. If I wanted to go to church, I can just close my eyes and remember that last couple of times I've been there. I'm fairly certain it will be the same thing.

As far as " Lust of the flesh " goes, perhaps said person didn't feel like sharing the flu with his fellow Christians? Is it possible that this person has a job? These people live in the real world. God has prepared the next life for them, but in the mean time, they have bills to pay and a family to provide for in this life..

As far as " yelling and cussing " goes, that's the native language of quite a few people. Some times, you have to talk to them in their own tongue to get them to understand.

There's my thoughts. Best wishes.

Many are in the grips of Satan and as such they are working to lead others astray. For example. Martin Luther was a catholic priest yet he rebelled and took many with him. Henry VIII was a catholic king and his lust drove him completely into the hands of Satan and he took most of the English people with him. As did his daughter Elizabeth I.

Like a beast of prey, Satan finds the weak and then separates them from The Church. Once a person is separated from The Church they are helpless. Satan then drags them and all those around them into his snares.

This is why it is so very important for The Church to be One!

People will pay lip service to God to get the benefits in the afterlife but actually conquering human shortcomings is hard work!

P.S Easy with the caps lock eh? Trust and Obey?

Never MIND "cussing" and not reading the bible! What about lynching people of other religions, or persecuting atheists, or waging war on people because you don't like their beliefs? THAT is not following the teachings of Jesus! They're just hypocrites, not true Christians.

Anyway, why worry about THEM? Concentrate on yourself instead! You'll go further that way (I'm not Christian, btw).

Some aren't really Christians.

Others are less mature.

Others are more mature -- they may see things in your church that you don't and they stay away.
