I'm on the Oregon coast in Florence. I checked the tide tables and they seem low enough. What is the best time to Crab? I heard its something like and hour before or and hour after high or low tide. Does anyone out there have experience on this subject? I'm not on th e boat, Im on the south Jetti dock.

The 2 times I did it in Alabama was when it was about 11 so it was super dark, tide was low, and the crabs were practically everywhere (in the water and out). Of course they were all too small for eating but it was fun nonetheless. Good luck!

I suppose Or. would be the same as So. Cal. Same kind of crabs. Regardless of tides, after dark. I had better luck with incoming tides on the piers.
