God forgives easily through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ, but as humans we sometimes find it hard to forgive ourselves. No one does a better job making us feel guilty, then we ourselves seem to do...

It's not so much the sins themselves that I haven't completely forgiven myself for; that, I think, would be like not believing Christ's atonement was quite enough for *my* awful sin ... and that would be very wrong.

The consequences of some of my sins, though, continue to give me pangs of regret. I caused pain to others that cannot be undone and in some cases is still affecting their lives. It's a good reminder, though, to truly "go, and sin no more".

Aw..here is a question that is much deeper than one can imagine. First, certainly you understand the sin that you commit, second you have asked forgiven for it, then you must understand asking also meant STOPPING it. But you didn't, now we come to the hard stuff. Are you now a hardened sinner? One could say yes from just the surface stuff, but only you can really answer this, for it appears that this sin does cause you some discomfort and a real yearning to stop and not do it again. However, it is desire that causes us to stop the sin, it is punishment that maintains the battle with said sin, and it repentance that will need to be an on going activity. God will for give you, for he already has, all you need to do is stop and sin no more. You can do it, you know what you are doing, that is the first step. Love yourself a bit more, for you are worthily of that love and then you can accept all the love God has for you too.

Yes, I find it very hard for me to forgive myself over a past sin. Even tho I know God has forgiven me for it and has shown me so. I still struggle with it everyday.

Whoa, simple question, simple answer folks!!!,,,,,these folks are asking you a simple question, why throw the "doesn't exist" remark in there, that is very negative, don't you think?

There are things I have done in my life, that I have not only asked for forgiveness, but I have also beat myself up over,
IT IS CALLED CONSCIENCE...I have a conscience, therefore, I know what I did, thought, felt, or said, was wrong,,,,,,
have you no conscience?
Sin is a made up way to control who, exeactly?
If you are saying there is NO sin, it is just made up to control us, who are your sources, for I would like to see what you are taught, study why you feel so strongly about this,,,
even witches believe that whatever you send out, will come back on your three fold, to me, that is the basic principal of sin,,,,if what we do is wrong, then we better expect to get back whatever it is we did wrong, but worse, as a life lesson, or lesson learned,,,,,,
HARM NONE-another rule of thumb,,,,,
harm not yourself, or any others,,,,,,applies to many things in many ways,,,,,
can no one answer a question without being so close minded, or heartless to those asking?
What are we coming to?
And for those of you, who have no feeling of right or wrong and feel you have no one you will have to reckon with when your time here is done,,,,,then I pray for you,,,,,,and hope that someday, you will see, we will all have to answer to someone, at sometime, for all of our misdoings,,,or misgivings,,,,,
Blessings of clarity and truth I send out to all,,,,,
Trin

How would God want us to forgive ourselves when He won't recover us? If we made a mistake and we get at a position where we didn't want to be, of course we'll feel regret and won't want to forgive ourselves.
Instead of God standing up there wanting us to forget everything because He forgives us why doesn't He recover us? It's only after we recover we can forget things.

Though He paid for your sins, Jesus did not eliminate your agency or personal responsibility; He will not make you clean against your will.

God hasn't forgiven me of any sins. Why? Because God doesn't exist.

Besides, it's a lot better to be able to do a good job of making oneself feel guilty than to not be able to do that. It shows you have a conscience, a sense of morality, and there aren't enough people like that in our world.

How do you know god has forgiven what you have done, or will forgive what you have done?
