I got off the freeway last night and noticed a care behind me. It turned into the same complex right after me and then proceeded to continue following me even though I was driving an uncommon route. I had the feeling I was being followed so I didn't stop at my destination and instead went to a well lit/busy walmart parking lot. When I did this the car turned off and went down the aisle next to me. I watched the car park for about 20 seconds and then it pulled out and drove slowly through the parking lot and left. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I'd say you were smart to go to Wal-Mart and to remain in your car doors locked hopefully. It could have just been kids messing around, or something more serious...either way, what you did was smart. I had it happen to me at once while I was leaving a Wal-Mart, this man followed me and my boys around the store and then out into the parking lot. He then started circling around the parking spots around me. I pulled my cellphone out and quickly placed both boys in the basket and started dialing, when he noticed my phone to my ear, he took one last look and left. Now I park as close to the door as I can.

I can not say exactly why you were being followed but by the way you say they were acting you may have done the smart thing and avoid being mugged or raped or worse. It has never happened to me but I am a male and the person or persons in the car following you may have been looking for a lady traveling at night by herself.

It was probably some jerk with to much time on their hands. People get off on intimidation. You were so smart to drive to a well lit area. Most people wouldn't have given it a second thought. You should be proud of yourself.
