are we physically healthier if we are more mentally stable?

They kind of go hand in hand. Poor physical health can lead to poor mental health and vice versa. They're both important.

Yes, Yes , Yes and yes.. Did I mention that i agree with you. I work in the hospital on the Cancer ward and the people who have the best outcomes are also the people who have the most social contacts, the ones who like to joke around with the health care workers and also who let me hold their hand or give them a back rub when they are not feeling well enough to joke around. Just watch Patch Adams.... I think mental health is just as important as physical health and I pay attention big time to mental health even though my patients have a physical diagnosis.

Like kiki said they go hand in hand. I have a major depression problem and on days when I am feeling really bad I could care less what I look like, whether I bathe or not, what my house looks like etc..... so you see they do go together and believe me its very hard to deal with. I dont like it and I take meds for it but sometimes it gets the best of me.
