If we allow or tolerate religious views and allow those belongers to act on their views that include killing anyone who is not of their views for not belonging, wouldn't that threaten civilization unless everyone joined or that religious organization and it's members were imprisoned or dealt with so that they give up their war against humanity?

And if the religious group only says that they need to suppress those who do not belong, withholding privilige and making the oppressed much less afluent, could that lead to violent outbreaks at sometime in the future over those differences, like it did in Germany in WWII with Hitler?

Keith, you think we should tolerate religions that profess that they should kill us if we don't agree with them? Are you insane?

If you ask me, traditional Christianity should be on it's way out! It is not any perfect thing. It is cold and callous at times unless they have some actors.

I don't like the killing that is going on either. But evidently this is what we wanted life to be like before we were born.

Religious intolerance is alive and breathing right here in America where it is becoming harder and harder to be a Christian in a Christian land.
One world religion mixed like a mutt is coming sooner than you think. Along with a one world leader.
Civilization as we know it is doomed and gasping it's last breath as prophesy comes true all around us. The next sign good bye Damascus coming soon.
This is the time to stop bickering over philosophies and turn to Jesus the King of Kings to save us from the coming conflict . ask and ye shall receive. Knock and the door shall be open.
For God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only Son so that NONE should perish but ALL would have eternal life.

It is time to be human and stop trying to achieve an unattainable goal of Godhood. We must learn to be tolerant of what we do not understand or agree with. If one answer makes sense to me, what right do i have to make you see the sense behind it. Its all about perspective. If anyone thinks the crusade's could never happen again. Well watch the news. Organized religion is evil. Religion should never be preached, it comes from within.

It doesn't matter how you look at humanity's activities in terms of tolerance and intolerance - you forget that there is an evil power in this universe bent on creating hell and getting you there.

No. How would it?

Religious INTOLERANCE could very well threaten civilization.

OK violence in the name of religion is a threat, but religion itself is not.
