We are nothing WITH the EU - hidebound by a mass of red tape, overtaking everything we have built up over centuries. Other EU countries feel the same - per the referendums we have been denied. The EU was originally conceived for economic reasons then they decided this wouldn't work without legal or political input. The EU will eventually fail because it is too cumbersome to respond to the many needs of 21st century.

i think you poor misguided fool that youve put your words in the wrong order, it should read "how come the EU doesnt realise it would be nothing without britian".
our small island pays one of the biggest amounts into the eu with very lttle return, we dont benefit from anything that you have such as working hours or wages and we are overburdened by waves of immigrants wanting to come here merely to exploit our benefit systems or take government subsidised jobs.
so sorry i think you must of miswrote the question or your just a silly little person who shouldnt even really be in our country.

Oh please!Virtually every serious review of the costs and benefits of the EU show that Britain would be better off out of the organisation in most, if not all, respects but political elite in all political parties will simply not listen to the facts. Those who believe that the European Union can be reformed from within are deluding themselves. Its very nature demands that, ever more power must be conceded to the EU institutions and, consequently, that of the nations be reduced. Britain would certainly be BETTER OFF OUT and the longer our country remains in, the more certain it is that we shall simply become a mere province in a "country called Europe...

Sure thing guys. Join the EU at your own peril.
Britain can then have about as much political power on the world stage as South Dakota.

We are great, its the EU that has dragged us down, especially the French Farmers who complain about British farming and given history has shown the french farmers burning Lorry's of live sheep in protest, it makes me wonder who is running the show.
I have yet to benefit from being a member of the EU, fair pay, fair working hours and a fair working week and lots of other benefits that the other EU members states benefit from are none existent in the UK so your argument or comment is not a sound one.

If we are nothing then we are less than nothing the more we become involved with the EU.
We need to get out, the EU is nothing without the UK.
