It really blows me away that people on here ask questions on here get asked everyday, and then its not really a question its a statement, but somewhere in there is a question. So then people answer and then then next thing you know you are getting some sort of deletion, or violation for stating facts back? Now this isn't about me!! But I have noticed more and more of this happening here. Maybe Yahoo should just get rid of answers all together? What do you think?

apcelya- I stated the question in the begining and lead up to the reason for you all and still asked the question. I didn't just base it on Facts, I did a test..ect. or get up on a soap box I am asking if any of you feel that we should just get rid of answers? Or maybe just get rid of Immigration.

Merovingian- I agree. It appears more and more if ppl are not liking the answer you are reported for abuse. I do like you have to say.

Daniel F- That is a perfect example of what I mean. Daniel I am an "Anti" but I would not report for spelling. I would however hit that button if racist comments are used, and for using Profanity.

PARVFAN- Most ppl do just that then they are getting a email from Answers Team that they are in violation. So if its that easy for everyone to report abuse why ask? let alone answer.

T- I totally agree with you, every chance I get on an survey from Yahoo I write about this, and have been writing about this since Answers came out. I have asked them for some sort of filtering system or something. But instead becomes a bias fourm with bias attached.

runtoli- I am really starting to see that. So then why even should we bother? I mean are we all just running for office its all a political game?

i agree there seems to be a lot of personal opinion expressed by yahoo answers by the material they are both removing and allowing. i recently called them on the removal of some of my material when they allowed a fabricated racial/immigrant incident (the author admitted so with an added post that he removed a short time later). the story was so blatantly false that it should have been removed as it was written simply to incite. i questioned yahoo answers as to the lack of monitoring of their employees and for allowing the expression of personal opinion when it comes to their employees and that there is no place for either. i'm betting i get no response from them as i also questioned as to whether they have their own agenda

Yahoo answers is very selective in the area of abuse, I was given a violation for telling some one who presented a post with many misspelled word, to use spell check, yet I see profanity and the outright calling racial insults, that yahoo believes are less serious ,than suggesting some one use spell check, the person who said that abuse should be based on thumbs down is way off base.
Some one posted a question about Mexicans and education,
I answer that in the last 2 generation my family had 6 university graduates and my granddaughter was a senior a the University of Minnesota and some would be 7 college grads. And I got seven thumbs down by jealous anti's.

It is getting a bit out of hand.
In my opinion, you should get a violation notice for, say, 5 thumbs down or something similar. The present system is open to abuse as you know. I guess we,ll have to petition Yahoo to do something about it.

I like answers. The format of answers is just that. If you ask a "straight-up question", people will answer. If you deviate form the format and blog a subject, this is is not what answers is about. Stay with the format and all will be good.

You probably didn't like this answer.

Good Luck,

Jim

It's really a popularly contest.
If the questioner doesn't like your points of view. (leading to your answer).
Then some how or form you are violated.
