This is pretty general. How old is the dog? What breed is the dog? Did this "walking slow" appear in 1 day? In rear leg lameness the most common problems are hip dysplasia and patella luxation (slipping knee caps). While larger breeds are prone to HD (hip dysplasia) smaller breeders are more prone to patella problems. Dogs can be given ascriptin (coated aspirin) for pain. Dosage depends on weight. For example a 100 pound dog could be given 1 Ascriptin tablet 2 times a day. NEVER GIVE ASPIRIN TO CATS, it's a poison to them. The dog could also have a spine injury just as a person which would make it more painful to walk and jump on hind legs. Age would also factor in, in a more aged dog they do get arthritis just like people. The most common location for the arthritis in in the spinal column. I would keep the dog quiet, give him some Ascriptin for a couple of days, if this doesn't help or he is getting progressively worse it's time for your vet.

I don't think it's his legs at all. Sounds like it might be his tummy. Has he been eating normal? He may even have severe gas. I would get him to a vet ASAP or emergency Animal Hospital.
BUT, before you do any of that, check his underside of his hind paws... he may have stepped on something that got stuck in there. Other than that though, I don't think it has anything do do with his legs. If it was, he wouldn't be up and about, but laying in one place yelping.
Good Luck, and I hope everything works out good for puppers!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUOxd
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

She may have sprained her tail or a leg or something else. It might be a hip problem. My dog jumped off the bed years ago and she sprained her neck. She did the same thing-tail down and she cried. She would not go near the bed and would not jump or wag her tail. You will feel better when your bf gets back from the vet-that is exactly what we did-rushed her there. I hope your dog feels better soon! I know how hard it is when they are hurting and we don't know why.

Did you over exercise him? He may have gotten hurt while running or jumping. For now make sure he doesn't climb stairs or go and any walk just keep him inside. This is nothing serious. Let him rest for a week or two so he can recover. If the problem is still there see the vet. This happens sometimes in puppys.

Mine had a sore muscle in his back that caused the same type of symptoms.. but he had no problem running or walking.. just climbing or jumping.. I gave him two days and a heating pad.. each day he was a bit more jumpy.... but it depends.. if it's REALLY bad.. like the dog can barely move at all.. Vet.. asap..it could be many things..
