My new kitten got stuck in a sticky type mouse trap. We freed her with peanut butter & baby oil. I shampooed her with a kitty shampoo but a day later her fur is still very oily. I thought of trying baby powder but am not sure how dangerous that would be if she were to lick it. I am planning on calling the vet tomorrow but thought maybe I could get some help here????

Give your cat a bath in a good dish soap that degrease. This should work. A cat of mine got into oil one time, I call a vet. and that is what he told me.

You could do nothing. The oil won't hurt it and the dish soap could cause it diarrhea.

Good Luck
