File, save as, select .rtf from the dropdown.

Yes, go to save as, on the bottom of the box there is an area to select the file type, and select RTF (or any other type)

Go to File
Select Save As
scroll down the little side bar to Rich Text Format
Save

Yes. Open the document in Word and re-save it in RTF.

Go to File -- Save As -- Under Save as type, choose Rich Text Format

Yes you definately can do this. Simply right-click on the file and choose "rename". Now just put in the name for your file(or you may keep the previous name) and type ".rtf". Hurray...! You are done.

-choose "save as"
-name your file in the top box
-in the bottom box that says "file type" click the arrow to show pull down menu, choose "rich text format".
