North Korea is one of the world's last xenophobic, racist totalitarian dictatorships left. Foreigners are not welcome.

I don't think so. I did see a TV show once about a US military man who went to North Korea during the Korean War. He married a North Korean women and had a couple of kids. He was treated as a celebrity there.
He was a tratior to the USA.
I saw the show in Eastern Europe when it was communist here.( Just visiting family nothing political with me.)
He died a couple years back.

They allow a very few journalists to remain in NK - normally in Pyongyang - long term. The only other foreigners allowed in are visiting politicians, plus a few tourists and businessmen. Westerners are otherwise not allowed to live and work there, although they have been known to kidnap Japanese civilians to teach their intelligence agents Japanese!

No.
It is possible to visit there on business if you get a visa, but your movements will be strictly monitored by government officials and any contact with locals will be regulated.

No, unless you break a law there, then maybe you can live and work in one of their famous slave camps.

Attendence is mandatory and resistance is futile. I doubt they would let you in because they wouldn't trust you.
