You keep forgetting that oil is traded on the world market. If Radical Islamic terrorist take over Iraq, then gasoline will be in their control and gas prices will go through the roof. People also seem to forget that India and China both have thriving economies and are vying for the oil too. This is just not about the US.

Well, gas prices were under half of what they are now before the Iraq invasion started..... so, good bet.
We don't end the occupation because we have a Commander in Sheik who cannot understand the concept of making strategic decisions based on reality -- and because we have a Congress (both parties) who are too wrapped up in their own political agendas to actually do their job.
