Windows Vista is just the Operating System. This only includes the software to run the programmes included in Windows Vista.
What you need to buy is Microsoft Office. There are a few versions. This includes Word, Excell etc.
There is a free office package which does the same kind of job as Microsoft Office it is called Open Office. Visit here to download.

when you buy a computer it comes with an operating system and some very, very basic other software programs but for Excel, Word etc. i.e. Office Suite, you have to buy. Go to PCWorld and get student version for £99. Unfortunately it won't include Publisher. If you need all programs and 2007 version you will have to pay around £300 or just under.

As the others have said it is separate, however just so you know, office 2003 works fine on my vista, I.E. you don't need the latest version. so if you had office on xp you should be able to install it on Vista..... I've also used the free openoffice (that the others have mentioned) which is nearly as good just looks a lot different but it will get you by and is pretty compatible with Microsoft office..... and you can download it instantly.......

There are actually not usually loose version available till they're "unlawful" and that's extra confusing to apply unlicensed variations while utilising Vista. There are decrease end procedures available from Microsoft that provides you some function of Excel or notice. that's fairly useful to objective utilising Google's scientific docs and Spreadsheets on line procedures. they'll assist you paintings with the two Excel and notice documents on line

hi, i'm afraid that office is a seperate program from Vista, it is microsoft office, however, have you checked to see if you have 'works' installed? if so have a look at it. you may find it suits your needs, if not then go for 1 of the free ones listed by others. take care and good luck.
