will my widescreen tv be of no use when hdtv comes into force also i rent a tv and dvd and video package from boxclever what will happen will they be obliged to change our package will it cost us more ?

We will have standard definition (SD) broadcasts for many years yet. Hi-def will run alongside, just as digital has run alongside analogue for the last 10 years.

Eventually, when the SD signal is switched off (in about 2020) your TV will be obsolete. But that's a few years away yet. You do not NEED an HD television yet!

hd tv isnt coming into force .maybe you mean digital signal when bbc turns of analogue some tvs dont have digital built in check the make of ur tv do a search online but you would know if it gets digital built in coz you would have e4 and extra channels if its not digital built in all you need is a freeview box with aerial to get the digital channels they can cost £30 or less

im with boxclever and i got a 36 inch hi def tv off them.it is the bollox,only thing is its 60 pound a month
