Intelligent. He has the capacity and will to continually increase his knowledge of important/useful subjects. This also means that he reads, thinks about what he reads, and can demonstrate it.
Logical. If you ever do get into an argument, if you two agree that logic is the final arbiter... it will be vastly easier to remain civil, and to resolve the issue.
Honest. If you have a problem, you say so. They're not afraid of the truth, and they respect me enough to share it.
Intellectual. They understand that ideas matter, and affect our lives every day. They will have opinions on all of the important topics, or be endeavoring to do so, because it's just so fascinating. This will make for excellent comparison on how compatible you are with a person under the microscope, and makes for excellent conversation.
Just. He should treat his values accordingly.
Affectionate. He simply just has to want intimacy with a consciousness whom he respects. That can take many different forms, all of which are nice.
