it depends wht kind of phone u have...if u just got it a couple months, you should wait..2 megapixel cam..is okay..for a digicam but a real camera can make pictures come out nicely than on a cell so it all depends how much ur willing to waste..I would go for the cam...cell phone models are constantly coming out

Phones are for talking to people and texting and making sure you are safe. Take a phone with you when you go out and if something bad happens you have the world at your fingertips.

Cameras are for taking pictures. Take one with you and you can record where you've been and, with the appropriate imagination, see the world with different eyes.

Why mix the two? Camera phones are a good emergency camera for if you see something strange and don't have your camera with you. They are not good to just be a camera. You already have a phone, but you don't have a camera (other than a pathetic 2mp mobile camera, which is only really useful for emergencies).Get a camera and be able to take good pictures as well as communicate. 3mp should be an absolute minimum for good quality A4 sized prints. Shop on eBay or Amazon for them. Don't use Pixmania - they are silly and rubbish. I recommend Nikon Coolpix, or Canon Powershot cameras.

Buy a real camera. The Sept. issue of Shutterbug magazine has a review of five 10 megapixel digicams. Its also available on-line at shutterbug.com.

Buy a phone for communication. Buy a camera for taking photos. If a phone is a camera phone it's a novelty. and in a pinch will suffice. So don't buy an all in one and think it will do wonders. Buy a real camera.

it depends on what you really want, you can buy a expensive phone with really really good camera abilities even better than most camcorders nd you know you'll always have it with you, or a camcorder that is kinda big and you wont have it on you all the time
