In the bible it says that Jesus will come back when no one expects it....

Well everyone is saying Dec. 21, 2012 right?(well a lot).

Well...when it turns midnight on Dec. 21, 2012 a lot of people will be waiting...but nothing will happen. So when they're all like "Crap, nothing happened" and don't expect anything TO happen...is that when Jesus will come? When people give up the hope he will come on that day?

On Dec. 21 2012 I'll be laughing so hard my sides will bust when nothing happens all day... then the next day... then the next week... then I will finally feel bad about it because hope just died for a couple thousand people and thats never a good thing... though I still might be laughing because being right is always a good thing.

I have not heard of the 12/21/12 date. The bible clearly states, no man will know the date or time of the second coming.
I do like your concept though, and I too believe it will be probably be in a time when all hope is gone. However in reading the book of Revelation quite a few more prophecies will occur before the second coming. Good question!

That's happened quite a few times over the years.......once was back in the 1980's.

When the date came and went everybody just went about business as usual.....sorta like Y2K.

Brian, it's been 2000 years. 2012 is a date significant to the Maya, who couldn't even predict their worn demise. Why some Christians picked up on it, I will never know. But to wait 2000 years on somebody who I think said he would be back in the Apostles' lifetime is pushing it. What if he still hasn't returned after 4000 years? Will you still be waiting? When will it become unreasonable to keep waiting?

I have never heard the December 2012 theory. He will come when He is ready. We need to be prepared for his return at any moment -that is what the teachings of the Bible are about.

Hopefully I will be a judge on America's Next Top Model at the time. Some of those chicks are really hot.

I am not a Christian but this is my view: IF there's someone like Jesus popping down, on blah blah date (bearing in mind he's been threatening to do it ever since he left) why would he come down on clouds and lightening on horses or whatever? He might just be conceived on that day......

No body knows the hour of His return, but He does. Everyone just needs to be patient, if they're even alive when it does! :)
