My little sister is 12 going on 13 and she weights 160 pounds but she is really tall i guess u can say she is 5'8. What do you honestly think... do you think she is fat and overwieght. Obese. Just right. Or underwieght (which i really doubt she is).

Well she wants to go on this crash diet u can say. She is planning on starving herself or making herself throw her food up. I keep telling her not too

So do you think that she is overwieght so she should? Because no matter what she does she NEVER can lose the wieght for some reason.

Well she has this stomach and makes her look bigger and she gets picked on because of her stomach because most people are skinnier and I think that she just doensn't want to be made fun of anymore.

well if thats really her height then her BMI is 24.3 which is a normal weight range. A normal weight range is 18.5-24.9. I am really short, so all the extra weight looks really bad on me, and i think i look fat. I have a BMI of 22.2 which is healthy so i was worried for nothing. She sounds fine, if she really wants to lose the weight, try cutting soda or cookies or fries or something like that out of her life, or start exercising more. Good Luck

The best thing would be for her to get some professional advise from a nutritionist/dietitian. Whether she is overweight or not is less an issue than her own feelings towards herself and her appearance and the healthy mindset that creates.

I know that I don't feel like myself if I am over my ideal weight. Maybe being over her ideal weight, if that is the case, your sister feels awkward and uncomfortable in herself.

A nutritionist or dietitian would be able to look further into what is the ideal diet and lifestyle for your sister and help her to make the adjustments in order to safely lose any weight above her ideal weight.

The best thing you can do is to encourage her to see help rather than trying to work it out for herself. It is OK to ask for help - the best athletes and and business people in the world have coaches and that is what a dietitian/nutritionist would be like.

she's where she should be for her age and height. she might have some baby fat still, which she should lose soon. she doesn't need to lose weight and certainly not by straving or throwing up. she needs to talk to a counselor. if she won't get help herself, you really really need to tell someone. it could save her life. all she needs to do it eat healthy and get daily exercise.
