That is a very broad area, I mean Christians as a group. First off, as a Christian, I can tell you that we ALL have NEVER agreed on anything as a whole, even perfection. I'd say it is more likely true that each Christian believes he's the closest thing to it.
That, of course is true with humans in general. So, don't slam Christians just because you know a few misguided ones. They are a work in progress like everyone else.
If you owned an orange grove, you wouldn't go out and pick each orange off as soon as it appears on the tree then throw it away for being bitter, would you? No, you know that the longer it remains on the tree the riper it will get.
It's the same with people. We're only our finished product on the day we get picked.

We are not perfect. However if you believe in Christ you have a legal standing of perfection in God's sight (not actual righteousness). So you may encounter christians who are very clear of guilt as they ar conscious of having been forgiven - sometimes God makes a person very aware of this. The blood of Christ washes away all sins, and is the atonement provided. You won't feel that secure if just washed with water, or seeing a goat killed as an offering.

Of course we're not perfect! Any Christian who says that is deluded. There has only been one perfect person who ever lived and that was Jesus Christ.
Christians are just like everyone else, we lie, we cheat, we do bad things. The only difference is that we have a way to be saved from the consequences of these actions. We have Jesus. And you can too..

On behalf of Christians, I apologize. I would never intentionally dis-respect anybody else. I am a witness on Christ's behalf, but I realize that I have no control over whether or not that witness is accepted or rejected.
As I stated in my post to your other question, the Bible says that all people sin: Christians and everybody else. So, I do not know how any Christian can believe he or she is perfect.

I am a Christian but I know I'm very far from perfection. I think if you could put numbers on one's character, and say 1 is the worst and 100 is perfection, I'd probably be 20 or 30. MAYBE 40 sometimes. I don't know - God only knows.

Didn't read your other question, but i think the general view of a christian is that they are far fron perfect, all sinners in gods view. And they feel they have to save the world to make ammends.

Christians do not believe they are perfect.
What else would you like to know about Christians in general? They're not all the same you know!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I do not know WHERE you got THAT idea, but that is so far from the truth. We would not be Christians if we had not realized that we are sinners and we are all in need of a Savior. And just because we believe in God and accepted Jesus by no means we are perfect. We believe NO ONE was or is perfect except for Jesus Christ.

Those who think that they are 100% perfect believe that their religion is 100% true, and that therefore they are 100% superior to 100% of others.
