I believer they make certain contributions to assistance organizations, but do not maintain one of their own.

They also contributed to the Islamic Relief organization, but it appears that this particular organization also helps fund the Hezbollah.

You can't be too careful about who you can trust anymore.

Mormons contribute to a lot of charities and even do a lot of work under their own name. They contribute to Catholic Charities because it is established in so many parts of the world already and they do such good work. We also contribute to Islamic Charities in the past but quit because it was giving money to terrorist groups. When Hurricane Katrina and Rita hit they had already sent 80 semis full of food, generators, hygiene kits, water, blankets and temporary housing (tents). They set up and even at times just gave some of those supplies to other groups that were already set up in some areas. (we don't feel we should compete with other charities as that is not cost effective) I know that world wide they contribute millions of dollars a year. They also have Desert Industries in the Western US that is a thrift store that trains people to work as well as gives things to those in needs. They have a private employment agency that is open to everyone and even what they call the Bishop's storehouse that is used to feed people (they do not have to be members but they do have to request help from a local LDS Bishop and found in need). Mormons are very concerned with they physical well being of their members as well as everyone else in the world. We do not limit the help we give because we don't agree with their religion.

Oh yes we have lots of charity works and organizations.
We have our own welfare square in Salt Lake to help unemployed LDS members and non members.
The Bishops Storehouse to help feed poor members and The Deseret Industries a thrift store that helps clothe and give other needs to members.
We have an employment agency in the church to help members find work. We can food so we can have food when emergencies come around.

For other charitable agencies The LDS pays charity donations to Islamic Relief and The Catholic Chairites.

The Church is based on service. "When you are in the service of your fellow man, you are only in the service of your God." There are many auxiliaries such as Relief Society and priesthood quorums where projects are organized.
