Just wondered if there is a way to reset a PS3. I have no idea what for but my dad needs to know as my little brother has broke his in some obscure way.
Is there a button or something that you can use?

Hold down the power button on the front for about ten seconds, it'll beep a few times then the video settings will go back to default.
If it's something else, then on the XMB, find the settings section, scroll down to system settings, and there is an option for restore default settings and restore PS3 system depending what your bro's done.
Hope this helps.

There's a slot in the back you have to jag with a spoon a few times. Get brutal and don't let up when sparks fly. :D
