My boyfriend's nephew is turning 4, What can i get him for his birthday that is not to pricey but a good gift around $40
Also, his sister recently had a new born baby and i need to get her a gift, what is something i can get her beside clothes that is very useful to a new mom!

Make a "spa" basket for mom and baby. Get the baby a cutsey set of baby towels and washclothes and get some nice baby soaps, lotion, powder, etc. Also put some nice relaxing bath products in for mom: bath oils, candles, skin care products...or better yet, if it's in your budget, get her a gift certificate for a massage and stuff at the day spa and keep the baby for her while she goes!
For a four year olds birthday, a fisher price little people playset would be a great gift. Of if possible, find out if he has a leap pad or comparable product that you could buy books/accesorries to go with. Boys that age really love cars and stuff, so maybe a little kids remote control car. Just make sure you stick to something marked for his age group and you shoud be fine. Also, stay away from toy guns or swords because some parents object to them.

Re: what to get a new mom... Tiny Love makes a mobile that completely engages little ones (around 6 weeks). It's the only way I get my shower in in the mornings with my 12 week old- she loves it, as do all the other little ones I know of who have it. It will keep them entertained for a solid 15 minutes, which is a fantastic gift to a new mom!

for the new mom get her diapers for the baby even if the baby grows out of them before she opens it she can return it. or even just get a size bigger so shell have them, you can get wipes also, you always need wipes, lotion, shampoo. as for you nephew give him a gift certificate so he can pick out what ever he wants. for christmas last year my husband and i just took our kids to the store and said you have xxxx amount of money to spend get what you want and that was the best because they got what they wanted and it did get played with. normally when we get them stuff it will be played with for a week and its lost but not that time, they still play with the toys they got

Get the new mom something to pamper herself with. New lotion, bubble bath, nice chocolates, etc.. She will appreciate it more than you know! As for getting a gift for a little boy...anything that makes noise!!

Check out this website, they have gifts for kids and babies that are pretty inexpensive. I bought a gift for my boyfriend's nephew and he liked it.

baby bouncers are useful for newborns..helps soothing them..
for the 4-yr-old, get him a LEGO or something useful..or maybe an airplane model (depends on how smart he is)
